Explore Steam Next FestThree free demos. Three different worlds.
OVERLKD is taking The Nugget, INKBORN and PARRYGON to Steam Next Fest from 19 to 26 October 2026. All three Steam demos are already live, so you can try them before the festival starts. Their full Steam games are still coming soon.
As the solo developer behind OVERLKD, having three games in the same festival feels like a big moment. They are very different projects: a first-person gold-prospecting survival simulation, a survival adventure built around drawing, and an arcade game about timing your next parry. What connects them is an idea you can put your hands on and test for yourself.
This is a guide to that lineup: what each game is about, where to find its demo, and which platform releases are available or still ahead. Pick the world that catches your eye, or make a small festival tour out of all three.
01 / PROSPECTING & SURVIVAL
The Nugget
Follow the signal. Find the gold. Keep the camp alive.

The Nugget is a first-person gold-prospecting survival simulation set in the Australian outback. Your work begins with reading the ground: tune a detector, search for targets, dig them up and wash paydirt in the hope of finding gold. Prospecting is the centre of the game, with a working camp and survival needs around it.
Food, water, heat and fuel all need attention. A trip out from camp is more than a walk toward the next signal; you have to think about what you are taking with you and how you will keep going. The appeal is in that combination of a practical search and the work of staying supplied.
If you enjoy first-person simulations, outdoor exploration and managing the resources behind a job, this is the place to start. The demo gives you a way to meet the game directly while the full Steam release is still in development. The Nugget is currently a Windows project; the mobile and Mac plans below apply to INKBORN and PARRYGON.
02 / DRAW, CRAFT, SURVIVE
INKBORN
Your sketchbook is part of your survival kit.

INKBORN is a first-person survival adventure in an unfinished comic. Its world is made of paper and ink, with an eraser advancing from the edge of the page. Drawing belongs to the game’s survival loop: you use a sketchbook to trace the recipes and glyphs for things you need.
Exploring, gathering resources, crafting equipment and building shelter sit alongside hunger, thirst, warmth and your supply of ink. There are sketch-born creatures to fight and quests to follow. It is a survival game with a different visual language, and a different relationship between making an item and using it.
INKBORN is the pick if you want to explore an unusual world and take time with its systems. You can play solo, and the game also supports co-op for up to four players. For a co-op session, check the multiplayer options in the store listing for the edition you are playing.
The Steam demo is live, and Inkborn Mobile is already available on Android. The macOS version is planned to accompany the full Steam release. The iOS version is waiting for App Store review, so it is on the way, with availability still dependent on approval.
03 / PARRY & OUTLAST
PARRYGON
A small window. A charged orb. A shrinking arena.

PARRYGON is a neon arcade survival game built around deflecting energy orbs. You move along the boundary of a polygon arena, protect your wall and time your parries. Landing a parry charges the orb, turning a defensive action into a chance to strike back.
The arena itself makes the pressure visible. Walls can disappear, and the space rebuilds smaller around the players who remain. Position and timing matter as the room changes; you are watching both the next incoming orb and the shape of the arena around it.
The full game’s lineup includes 36 campaign missions, an endless Arcade mode with Steam high scores, and local Versus for two to four players. Those are full-game features, rather than a promise that the free demo contains the entire campaign. Start with the demo to get a feel for the deflector and the parry timing.
PARRYGON is already available on Android, and its Steam store page and demo are live. A macOS version is planned for the full Steam launch; the coming-soon Steam listing already includes Mac support. Its iOS version is waiting for App Store review. There is no confirmed iOS release day to announce yet.

Make it your own Next Fest.
Start with one demo, or try all three. You do not need to wait until Monday: use the demo links above, then add the full games you want to follow to your Steam wishlist. The official Steam Next Fest page is the place to explore the wider event when it opens.
If you have a question, an idea or a bug report, come to the OVERLKD Discord or use player support. For a bug, the game name, platform, what happened and a screenshot make the report much easier to investigate. Please keep account details and keys out of public messages.
Three demos in one festival is a lot for a solo studio. Thanks for taking the time to try them and for helping me see what needs attention next. See you in the outback, on the page, or inside the arena.
